8 Foods That Can Lower The Risks Of Bad Cholesterol

There are many illnesses that we may connect with having a higher level of bad cholesterol in our body. If this will be forsaken, then, it is not impossible for us not to experience some serious conditions like heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure. To prevent these bad effects, it would be better to control your food intakes, especially those foods who have a lot of cholesterol’s contents.

But, there are also some foods that can help you to decrease and to lessen the level of cholesterol in your body. These are the following:

1. Oatmeal

One of the common ways to decrease a high level of bad cholesterol in the body is by eating oatmeal at breakfast time. The fiber brought by this food can help to block the entry of cholesterol in our body.

2. Garlic

Garlic is not just a natural antibiotic, this also can lower someone’s blood pressure.
Moreover, this can also be an effective relief against bad cholesterols in the body.
According to some research, garlic can reduce the blockage of the nerves caused by cholesterol.

3. Omega-3 fatty acid

Omega-3 fatty acid is the fatty acid that we can get from fish fat. It can lessen the blood pressure and blockage of the nerves in our body. Fishes that are rich in omega-3 fatty acid are mackerel, salmon, tuna, and sardines.

4. Avocado

The fruit avocado is rich in some nutrients as well as in monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA). The MUFA also has the effect of lowering the bad cholesterol in the body. Instead of high-saturated fat sitters, it's good to eat avocado instead that is rich in MUFA.

5. Nuts

Nuts such as peanuts, walnuts, almonds and many more are some of the favorite foods of many Filipinos, especially over time. They are rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids that are effectively resistant to cholesterol blockage in blood vessels.

6. Olive oil

Olive oil is also rich in MUFA that has a good effect on reducing harmful cholesterol in the body. Using 2 tablespoons of olive oil instead of regular oils can deliver heart benefits.

7. Dark Chocolate

Chocolate is rich in antioxidant and good cholesterol that both have good health effects on humans. Good cholesterol or high-density lipoprotein (HDL) lowers the risk of bad cholesterol or low-density lipoprotein (LDL).

8. Red wine

Drinking red wine regularly can also affect the level of cholesterol in the body. According to a study, 12% bad cholesterol can be reduced or LDL in the body if you drink red wine regularly.
