Several days later but the controversy brought by Gretchen Diez in the comfort room incident in Farmers Plaza Cubao, Quezon City is till what people are striving and talking about. Moreover the controversy ignited again after an interview of Diez with media that she is willing and open to run for public office.

Diez said that she wanted to push the agenda of LGBTQ+ efficiently so she has to run for a position. Also according to her there are only few people that can voice out the discrimination they are experiencing because the society and the authority brought limitation and jugdment

“I’m willing to maximize all of the power that’s in front of me para makapag-advocate ng change sa ating bansa. If it takes running for office, then I’m open for that.

She also told the public that there are many people pushing her to run for public office but she only wanted to settle the injustice in his rights that he encountered in the incident.

Now that I’m given the education, now I’m given this privelege to be the voice of the LGBTQ+ community or being the voice for equality,” she added.

However, many people also criticizes Gretchen Diez saying that she is taking the situation for granted and her being ambitious to enter the public office.
