74-Year-Old Woman Becomes the Oldest Woman To Give Birth to a Twin Girls

In India, a 74-year-old woman named Mangayamma became the oldest woman in history to give birth after she successfully delivered her twin girls in her age through IVF procedure.

Mangayamma and her husband are farmers in a village of  Anthar Pradesh, for 54 years they are not able to bear a child even after consulting a lot of doctors and visiting temples.

People thought that Mangayamma had committed a dreadful sin in life that's why she was cursed.

But, his husband Yaramati Sitarama Rajarao stood with her and gave her strength to continue her in spite of her incapability.

A while ago, after Mangayamma heard the news about a 54-year-old woman who get pregnant after an in-vitro procedure, with her strong desire to give birth even she had been menopause for almost 2 decades she convinced her husband to let her undergo the procedure.

After undergoing different test if Mangayamma is able to undergo the procedure, the Doctors at Ahalya Nursing Home in Guntur started the first cycle of the procedure.

Luckily, the old woman managed to be healthy after the cycle. 9 months later, her pregnancy went smooth and safe.

Not long ago, Mangayamma gave birth to her twins and became the oldest woman to give birth.

“I am very happy. God has answered our prayers,” Mangayamma said.

 “We are the happiest couple on earth today. We have our own children.” She added.

 “I am very happy. After 54 years, God has answered our prayers.” Yaramati Sitarama Rajarao exclaimed.

The case of Mangayamma had been in controversy and in discussion among doctors after they claimed that it wasn't necessary to perform the procedure even if the patient pleaded since it could endangers the life of both the mother and her child.
