Women are Happier With Uglier Partners, Study says

A study from Florida State University found out that women are happier with their uglier partners, after they conducted a review on the relationships of 223 newlyweds couples at the age of 20 to 29 years old.

Researchers performed the study to have a better understanding on how attractiveness really affect relationship, or it being a factor for overall happiness.

Participants were asked about their lifestyles and habits, later on they were photographed and after that they were dictated to rate their desirability based on how they perceive face's and body's attractiveness.

The findings of the study revealed that women who had more handsome and attractive husband were intrusively preoccupy to lose weight to look beautiful, because they say it makes them sad and insecure.

Meanwhile, women who have less attractive and handsome husbands claimed that they never feel any pressure to diet which makes them to have a happier relationship.

According to Tania Reynolds, the head researcher, the results of the study also revealed that women having a physically attractive partner may experience negative consequences, especially if they are not as attractive as them.

At the end, the researchers advised that if you think your attractiveness resulted to your other half exhaustion and unhappiness:

"One way to help these women is for partners to be very reaffirming, reminding them, 'You're beautiful. I love you at any weight or body type,'"

"Or perhaps focusing on the ways they are a good romantic partner outside of attractiveness and emphasizing those strengths: 'I really value you because you are a kind, smart and supportive partner." They added.
